It all began when a very young Frank Sinatra was sharing the bill as ‘an added extra’ with Benny Goodman at the Paramount Theatre in 1941. Benny’s young vocalist, Peggy Lee, found herself violently ill with severe flu. Immediately Sinatra availed himself to tend to the needs of the young, ailing songstress with warm blankets, tea and toast.
Iconic singing legends Peggy Lee & Frank Sinatra shared a genuine & enduring friendship, which will be celebrated by two of Australia’s most respected & swingin’ singers. 4x ARIA-nominee Frank Bennett will be joined by Jazz/Blues/Soul musician Ms. Paige Delancey for a night of warm harmonies & gorgeous, timeless tunes.
